Thermal Sciences Seminar in Slovenia FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPERS ASME - ZSITS INTERNATIONAL THERMAL SCIENCE SEMINAR 11 - 14 June 2000 Bled, Slovenia INTENDED SCIENTIFIC SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE AND DESIRED TOPICS The ASME-ZSITS International Thermal Science Seminar, co-sponsored by American Society of Mechanical Engineers and by the Association of Mechanical Engineers and Technicians of Slovenia (ZSITS) will offer an international exchange of thermal science information. The seminar will also be co-sponsored by International Institute for Refrigeration, Commission B1, and by the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT). During the seminar a Round Table will be organised on the thermal sciences aspects of renovation and development of the South Easteren European Region. Academic and industrial contributors are solicited to submit papers dealing with experimental work, theory, design, aplications and technology of thermal sciences. Desired topics include, but are not limited to: * Fundamentals * Energy systems * Equipment * Environmental * Phase change * Measurement techniques * Numerical heat transfer * Heat transfer enhancement HOW TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT Authors are invited to submit abstracts up to 500 words. The abstracts should contain: 1. Paper title. 2. Authors´ names, affiliations and addresses. 3. Phone, Fax number and E-mail address of the author(s). 4. The objective of the paper, results and a brief conclusion. The abstracts will be used for preliminary screening, the final acceptance will be based on peer review of the complete manuscript. Papers will be presented at the seminar, so attendance by at least one of the authors is necessary. DEADLINES: February 10, 2000: abstract due to Dr. Golobič or Dr. Bergles. February 25, 2000: notification of acceptance of abstract. March 25, 2000: three copies of full manuscript. April 25, 2000: notification of the manuscript acceptance. May 25, 2000: camera-ready paper. The abstract may be sent by fax, e-mail or mail. When sending by e-mail, please note that abstracts with equations, tables, figures or symbols will not be accepted.
