INTERNATIONAL MENGER SYMPOSIUM 1998

The Symposium will be held in the frame of the Ferrater Mora Chair of Contemporary Thought, at the University of Girona (Spain), from July 2 to 4. The Symposium will be devoted to any of the various scientific fields Karl Menger contributed to (mathematics, economics, physics, philosophy of science, ethics and the history of philosophy).

The Symposium will have the concept of indistinguishibility as a main theme.

In addition, the organising comittee would find convenient to widen the scope of the Symposium by including additional secondary subjects to the debate. One of these subjects might be uncertainty. This is just a proposal.

Therefore suggestions of further secondary subjects will be welcome no matter the field where they come from. The deadline for submission of proposals is March 31st, 1997. In April the organising comittee will announce which the final secondary subjects of the Symposium will be.
