You are cordially invited to attend the 13th Annual Summer Conference on General Topology and its Applications which will be held at the National University of Mexico in Mexico City from June 24th to June 27th, 1998.

The Conference will consist of 8 invited talks, contributed talks of 25 minutes in parallel sessions and workshops on Set Theoretic Topology and Topological Groups. The conference will also include a special invited talk as a tribute to A.V. Arkhangel'skii on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

INVITED SPEAKERS will include A.V. Arkhangel'skii (Ohio and Moscow State Universities), A. Bella (University of Messina), A. García-M\'aynez (UNAM), A. Illanes (UNAM), R. Kopperman (CCNY), K. Kunen (University of Wisconsin), R. McCoy (Virginia Polytechnic and State University) and T. Nogura (Ehime University).

TOPICS
All areas of topology-related mathematics especially general/set theoretic topology, continuum theory, geometric topology, and applications of topology to other areas of mathematics and the sciences, especially in theoretical computer science, will be covered.

There will be SPECIAL SESSIONS titled SET-THEORETIC TOPOLOGY, organized by A. Dow (York University), CONTINUUM THEORY, organized by S. B. Nadler Jr. (West Virginia University) and Charatonik (UNAM), TOPOLOGICAL ALGEBRAIC STRUCTURES, organized by W. W. Comfort (Wesleyan University) and O. Okunev (UNAM), and UNIFORM AND QUASI-UNIFORM STRUCTURES, organized by H.P. Kunzi (University of Berne) and S. Romaguera (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia).

The SET-THEORETICAL TOPOLOGY WORKSHOP will be directed by I. Juhasz (HAS), and the TOPOLOGICAL GROUPS workshop will be directed by M. Tkachenko (UAM).

You are encouraged to contribute a 25-minute talk at the Conference. There will also be POSTER SESSIONS for extended abstracts. The deadline for submission of abstracts will be announced towards the end of 1997. The address for submitting the abstracts is top8@xanum.uam.mx.
