From fielding@math.byu.edu Mon May 22 11:31:58 2000 Date: Mon, 22 May 2000 08:41:22 -0600 From: Jill Fielding Subject: Wasatch Topology Conference Summer 2000 Wasatch Topology Conference The mathematics departments of the University of Utah and Brigham Young University along with the National Science Foundation are sponsoring the Twelfth semiannual Wasatch Topology Conference to be held August 14-16 at Shadow Ridge Hotel & Conference Center in Park City, Utah. The speakers are: Mario Bonk -- University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Marc Bourdon -- Universite Nancy I Rick Scott -- Santa Clara University Zlil Sela -- Hebrew University and the Institute for Advanced Study The conference website is: http://www.math.byu.edu/~conner/wtc.html -- check there for updates, schedules and titles when they become available. Park City is a beautiful resort city in the scenic Wasatch mountains. We have negotiated deeply discounted room rates of $50.00 and $55.00 per night for the duration of the conference at the Shadow Ridge Hotel & Conference Center. The nearest airport, Salt Lake International airport, is approximately 40 miles distant from the meeting site. Those interested in attending the conference should make reservations by July 14 to guarantee availability of rooms at the discount rate. Tell John that you would like to attend the Topology/BYU conference in August and you would like the discounted rates.
