Brown Subject: Final Announcement for ICAGT ICAGT 2001 Final Announcement Regrets: Robert Lowen and Ivan Reilly regret that they will be unable to attend the Conference for personal reasons. Abstracts: The deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended to August 8. After that date abstracts may still be submitted by sending them to me at topconf@hacettepe.edu.tr Problem Sessions: Details of the problem sessions to be held at the conference may be found on the features page of our website. If you have a problem or question you would like to present at the conference please submit it using the form provided on this page or send it to me by E-mail. Research Area Presentations: The features page also contains information about our series of talks designed to introduce and motivate interesting research areas involving general topology which are probably not so well known to the majority of general topologists. Bank Transfers: If you have made a transfer to our bank account please bring the bank transfer order with you when you come. Programme: An opening ceremony and cocktail will be held at 10:00 on August 13. The provisional programme of talks and other events will be given to the participants on arrival. Registration: The registration desk on Beytepe Campus will be open on August 12 from 10:00 to 22:00, and on other days during conference working hours. Participants should register and pay all outstanding fees on their first arrival at the conference site. Reaching Beytepe on August 12. If you arrive at Ankara Esenboga Airport on Sunday August 12 take the airport bus into Ankara as suggested on our Web Page. We hope to have students at the airport between about 9:30 and 20:30 to help you board the correct bus (run by HAVAS). The fare is 3500000TL (just under $3), so you should get some Turkish Lira before you leave the airport. There is now an Air Terminal building, and you should get off there. A minibus or private car to Beytepe Campus will leave the terminal building at regular intervals between about 10:00 and 21:15. Again there will be students at the Air Terminal to help you. If you expect to arrive outside these times do please let me know. If you arrive at the terminal before 10:00 or after 21:15, and you have not made any special arrangements with us, just take a taxi (taksi) to Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus (Hacettepe \"Universitesi, Beytepe Kamp\"us\"u) and ask for the Mathematics Department (Matematik B\"ol\"um\"u). There should be someone there until about midnight. In case of emergency you may call 05323850747, which is a mobile phone. Please note that we are NOT providing a regular service from the Bus Terminal. However, if you expect to arrive by bus and would like us to help you reach Beytepe, please let me know by e-mail as soon as possible. Reaching Beytepe on other days (non-residents only). Those not staying on campus will need to travel to Beytepe each day to participate in the Conference. There are regular student services between Hacettepe Central Campus in Sihhiye (S\i hh\i ye) and Beytepe Campus during the week, and a skeleton service at weekends. The main intermediate stops are on the top of Sihhiye Bridge (S\i hh\i ye K\"opr\"us\"u), in Besevler (Be\c sevler) and by the side of the National Library (Milli K\"ut\"uphanesi) in Bahcelievler (Bah\c celievler). You pay cash (400000TL) in the private ones (white), but the ones run by the municipality (red) need a card. To give you a sense of direction, remember that Beytepe in to the west of the city. Dress: You are likely to need light summer clothes, but please note that the evenings in Ankara can be cool so bring a pullover to wear when sitting outside. Remember to bring a wide brimmed hat.
