Keynote speakers: Professor Hugh Macdonald, Department of Music, Washington University, St. Louis will be giving the Peter le Hurey Memorial Lecture on ^ÑFraternity and Nationhood in the Third Republic^Ò. Professor Debora Silverman, History Department, UCLA will give a keynote lecture on ^ÑPleasure and Mystery: Catholic Sources of Gauguin^Òs Abstraction^Ò Recitals Dr. Roy Howat will be giving a piano recital of works by Chabrier, Ravel and Debussy, and Jane Manning, OBE, will perform Messiaen^Òs Harawi.
