                      First Announcement

The 3rd International Conference on Topological Algebra and Applications, 
ICTAA 3, will take place in Oulu, Finland from Monday 2nd to Friday 06th 
July, 2001.

The programme will consist of the main lectures as well as a number of 
contributed talks. We hope to publish a selection of lectures in some 
proceedings.

An excursion to the arctic circle or to some other exotic place in north 
Finland may be arranged on Wednesday 4th. There will be a registration fee 
of 300 mk (7 mk is about 1 US Dollar). There will also be a charge for the 
excursion.

Conference accommodation will be available within walking distance in the 
campus at about 130 mk per night. Hotel accommodation can also be arranged 
and the cost is between 400 marks and 600 marks per night.
